I've written about The Young Wild before, this amazing up-and-coming band from California. They came through Salt Lake City on their tour with ZZ Ward and I was beyond excited to see them again. I have to thank them so much for the photo pass and tickets to the show. It was held at The Depot, one of my favorite venues in Salt Lake City, and there was already a good-sized crowd there when I arrived. I was glad--some people show up to concerts later because they aren't sure about the opening band. I find that a lot of the time, my favorite bands are ones I have seen open for others.
The Young Wild's performance was fantastic and they sounded even better than they had five months before. Their new single, "Not a One" had the audience clapping along and when they closed with "Moment Goes," the crowd wasn't ready to let them go. I cannot wait for their album, especially so I can get my hands on their song "Into the Wild," which they also performed that night.
Find more about The Young Wild on Facebook and Twitter. They are currently working on their first album, but you can check them out on You Tube and their single, "Not a One," is available on iTunes.
